Terms of Service
The terms and conditions that govern your use of HPI Checker.
Last updated: 1 September 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HPI Checker website and vehicle history check services ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
HPI Checker provides vehicle history reports compiled from official and third-party data sources, including the DVLA, DVSA and provenance databases. Reports are generated using the registration number you provide.
While we take care to source accurate, up-to-date data, the information is supplied by third parties and reflects the records available at the time of your search. We do not guarantee that every record is complete or free from error.
3. Use of Reports
Reports are provided for your personal use to help inform a vehicle purchase decision. You should treat a report as one part of your due diligence and not as a substitute for a physical inspection or independent professional advice.
You may not resell, redistribute or commercially exploit report data without our written permission.
4. Payment
Prices for paid reports are displayed before you purchase. Payment is taken at the point of order. Access to a paid report is granted immediately once payment is confirmed.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HPI Checker is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on report data, from third-party data inaccuracies, or from your inability to access the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
6. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the current version and applies to your use of the Service.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
